8. The radio stations WFBY, WBRB, and WAJR-FM will host fifteen (15) live “qualifier” remote broadcasts (Locations T.B.A. on respective stations). Each live event will qualify at least one (1) finalist through card contest (Rule 7a) and at least one (1) finalist through drawing (Rule 7b)
A. During the remote broadcast, the celebrity dealer will take a single fifty-two (52) card deck and thoroughly shuffle. Two cards will then be dealt. These two (2) cards will then act as the community cards for the entire length of the live remote broadcast that day. Participants will then turn in their registration form and be dealt five (5) cards off of the top of the deck face up. The participant will then make the best hand (five cards) out of the five (5) cards dealt and the two (2) community cards as earlier dealt by the celebrity dealer. The participant at the end of the remote broadcast with the best hand of the day (standard poker rules) will then advance to the finals. In the event of a tie between two or more hands at any particular live broadcast, the tying participants (still at the location or not) will be each dealt an additional hand or hands with the high hand of that situation earning the advancement to the final competition.
B. Each entrant will then have a second chance with a drawing at the end of each respective event. All entries received before the end of the broadcast will then be placed into a registration box and one entry will be drawn. That entrant who matches that entry will then earn advancement to the final competition.

9. Finalists will be given the option to substitute a representative to compete for said entrant in the final competition. Such substitutions must be made during entry at live remote broadcast, or email. Entrants can only qualify for the final competition once.

10. All finalists must be checked in for the final competition no later than 3:30 P.M. Saturday July 19th 2008 at the finals location Snowshoe Mountain Resort. Finalists who do not register by 3:30 P.M. Saturday July 19th 2008 will be replaced by an alternate as appointed by the sponsors. No exceptions.

11. Limit one entry Per Person per event. Each entrant must provide at entry proper identification to verify age requirements are being met.

12. Entries will be used before finals to gain alternates for the final event. At least Five (5) alternates will be guaranteed a spot in the final competition. Number of alternates drawn is exclusively through deliberation of the “sponsors”. Sponsors reserve the right to change Contest rules at any time, for any reason, without notice, in their sole discretion.

13. Highest hand is determined by the following guidelines:
A. Straight flush (the best straight flush hand: A-K-Q-J-T, all of the same suit)
B. Four-of-a-kind (the best four-of-a-kind hand: A-A-A-A-K)
C. Full house (the best full house hand: A-A-A-K-K)
D. Flush (the best flush hand: any Ace-high flush)
E. Straight (the best straight hand: A-K-Q-J-T)
F. Three-of-a-kind (the best three-of-a-kind hand: A-A-A-K-Q)
G. Two-pair (the best two-pair hand: A-A-K-K-Q)
H. One-pair (the best one-pair hand: A-A-K-Q-J)
I. No-pair (the best high hand: A-K-Q-J-9)

14. Odds of advancing to the finals depend on the number of entries received.

15. The final competition will consist of ninety six entrants (96). These entrants will be a combination of finalists from six (6) other radio stations under the West Virginia Radio Corporation/AJG Broadcasting Umbrella, entrants through online and mail in entry, and alternates.

16. Final Competition Rules:
A. Initial seating is determined by random draw or assignment.
B. A change of seat is not allowed after play starts, except as assigned by the director.
C. The appropriate starting amount of chips will be placed on the table for each entrant at the beginning of the event.
D. Limits and blinds are raised at regularly scheduled intervals.
E. If there is a signal designating the end of a betting level, the new limits apply on the next deal. (A deal begins with the first riffle of the shuffle.)
F. An absent player is always dealt a hand, and will be put up for blinds, antes, and the forced bet if low.
G. If you are not present when it becomes your turn to act, your hand is dead. This includes situations in which a live blind is not present to act, since an absent player cannot exercise the option to raise.
H. As players are eliminated, tables are broken in a pre-set order, with players from the broken tables assigned to empty seats at other tables.
I. The number of players at each table will be kept reasonably balanced by the transfer of a player as needed.
J. A player who declares all in and loses the pot, then discovers that one or more chips were hidden, is not entitled to benefit from this. That player is eliminated from the tournament. The then discovered chips are removed from the tournament.
K. All players must leave their seat immediately after being eliminated from an event.
L. Showing cards from a live hand during the action injures the rights of other players still competing in an event, who wish to see contestants eliminated. A player may not show any cards during a deal (unless the event has only two remaining players). If a player deliberately shows a card, that hand may be ruled dead and the player penalized.
M. Inappropriate behavior like throwing cards that go off the table may be punished by eviction from the tournament.
N. The deck is not changed on request. Decks change when the dealers change, unless there is a damaged card.
O. In all tournament games using a dealer button, the starting position of the button is determined by dealing for the high card.
P. The dealer button remains in position until the appropriate blinds are taken. Players must post all blinds every round.
Q. New players are dealt in immediately unless they sit down in the small blind or button position. In these two cases, they must wait until the button passes.
R. All hands will be turned faceup whenever a player is all-in and betting action is complete.
As a condition of being selected as a contestant, entrants:
1. Authorize Sponsors and their designees to investigate, access, and collect information about the entrant, about any of the statements made in any entry materials, any supporting documents, or any other written or oral statements made in connection therewith;

If a Grand Prize Winner fails to submit any such information, as requested, such Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified and a new one may be selected from the alternates.
